For the past eight months, spyware and other programs that infect computers have been piggybacked within Adobe PDF files. Recently, these infections are coming to people through a real memo to Washington DC members of the Air Force. In order to prevent this infection, Adobe released a memo explaining the problem and advising to immediately update your Adobe Reader and continue to do so on a regular basis.
There are two ways to do this; either remove the version on your computer and installing the latest version, or choosing the update option within the program. This Update option is hanging off the “Help” pull-down menu within the program.
Menlo Technical Consulting offers services to regularly maintain and update computer networks and workstations to reduce the potential for their clients to get infected. If you are interested in hiring a group for this purpose, please contact us today!
